We have loved seeing the home learning that you have shared with us and hearing about some of the activities you have been doing as a family. You may have heard on the news that schools will gradually begin to phase in more children over the next half term but we want to reassure you that we will still be providing home learning for those children not in school.
There are a few exciting updates to our home learning provision that we wanted to share with you. We are passionate about the importance of reading for our children and so this half term’s home learning will be themed around different books each week. On a Monday morning you will still be able to access your child’s home learning overview on their Key Stage page but it will have a week’s worth of activities linked to a story theme. In the top box on the page there will be information on how to access the book or extract from a book that you and your child can share before completing the tasks.
In addition, you will also be able to access a specific Family Home Learning Overview for you all to complete together.
We know that some people find it difficult to access the home learning on the website and so will be offering you the chance to collect a paper copy of your child’s learning each week. This will be during designated slots from the school car park, ensuring that social distancing measures are adhered to. If you would like a paper copy to be available for you please email firstname.lastname@example.org. Within your message please state that you would like paper copies of home learning and the names and year groups of your children. More information on when you can collect your child’s work will then be given to you.
We love to receive emails and tweets sharing your child’s learning and have decided to use our website to give you another way to share what you have been doing with your child’s class teacher. During the week beginning June 1st you will be contacted by a member of staff to share login details which you can use to access the pupil area of our website. On here you will find home learning tasks, class discussions linked to each weekly theme and ways to upload your child’s learning to share and get feedback from a teacher. To support you in getting on to this area of the website please click on the links below to watch our quick ‘How to Videos’. Once you have your child’s login details you can access the page and start adding to it. We really look forward to seeing what you are up to!
