Rose Learning Trust Sustainability Award 2026

Rose Learning Trust Sustainable School of the Year 2026

We are delighted to announce that Woodfield Primary School has been named the Rose Learning Trust Sustainable School of the Year 2026.

The judging panel was incredibly impressed by Woodfield's submission, which showcased not only the fantastic projects undertaken throughout the year but also the genuine commitment of pupils and staff to making a positive difference. Their students have been true climate changers, demonstrating outstanding enthusiasm and leadership in sustainability initiatives across the school.

Particular recognition should be given to the pupils' involvement in monitoring and understanding energy use through Energy Sparks, helping to influence decision-making and identify opportunities to reduce the school's environmental impact. Throughout the year, students have played a key role in planning, supporting and championing sustainability projects, demonstrating that environmental responsibility is embedded within the culture of the school.

It has been truly inspiring to see the breadth of sustainability work taking place across our schools and, most importantly, the enthusiasm and commitment of our pupils. From biodiversity projects and energy reduction initiatives to sustainability-focused learning and community engagement activities, our students continue to show that they are capable of driving meaningful change.

🎉 Woodfield Primary School has won:

  • The Rose Learning Trust Sustainable School of the Year Award 2026
  • £500 to invest in future sustainability projects
  • Eco Champion badges for their Eco Club/Eco Ambassadors
  • A £100 Amazon voucher, generously donated by Wavenet, to support future environmental initiatives

Congratulations to everyone at Woodfield Primary School on this fantastic achievement and thank you to all schools that took part. Your hard work, dedication and commitment to creating a more sustainable future have been inspirational and make us incredibly proud of the difference our schools are making every day.
