Changes to the re-opening of school
Further to Government updates around the easing of lockdown, and communication from our Mayor Ros Jones, I can confirm that we will be following her guidance and will therefore only open on 1st June for Key Worker and Vulnerable pupil provision. A phased re-opening of school to limited year groups will follow, subject to the conditions laid out in the Roadmap to easing restrictions being met. The plan for Woodfield is as follows:
Childcare provision for Key Worker’s will continue as normal 9am to 3pm but entry has moved to the Y3/4 gates – please see the attached flyer for more information.
Reception, Year One and Year Six pupils will be returning in the next phase and a date has not yet been confirmed so please remain home learning with these children and we will update you further when we have more information.
Phase Leaders have already spoken to all parents in eligible year groups and are now aware of who intends to return their child to school when we re-open. These parents will be contacted when we know the date for re-opening for their year groups.
Key Worker provision has changed and by accepting a keyworker place, you are agreeing to send your child to school Monday to Friday 9:00 – 3:00, during term time. We are not able to accommodate parents choosing to collect or drop off at other times within the school day. Should circumstances have changed and you no longer require their place please inform us via email asap.
To summarise we are fully closed over half-term (25th to 29th May) we then re-open for Key Worker Childcare only on the 1st of June. We will be back in contact to confirm when other children will commence being re-phased into school.
Further information including a Letter from Mayor Ros Jones, information on measures that need to be undertaken to support social distancing and a visual representation of how school is being set up to promote this are available in the news section of the website. Finally, it is important that if you are unclear of anything within this information you email school on firstname.lastname@example.org to confirm arrangements before returning to school.
