School Re-opens
Start: 19th Apr 2022 8:45am
We would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a lovely summer break. We wish Year 6 the very best of luck for next year at their new secondary schools and we look forward to seeing all the other children again in September.
Don’t forget we are back to school on Monday 5thSeptember 2022 gates open at 8.40am with the day commencing at 8.45am. The end of the school day will then be 3.15pm in line with our new finish times. Please remember, Breakfast Club and After School Clubs do not commence until 12th September 2022.
Children need to be back in full school uniform from September as follows:
· Navy blue jumper/tank-top/cardigan
· White shirt/blouse/polo shirt
· Grey or Black trousers/skirt/pinafore dress
· Plain white, black or grey socks/tights
· Black smart shoes (no trainers)
· Smart waterproof coat
With regards to jewellery children may wear one pair of plain stud earrings to school – not hoops or dangly earring – however all earrings must be removed for PE lessons by the child, staff may not remove earrings. Children may also wear a watch. NO OTHER JEWELLERY IS PERMITTED.
For PE all children from Y1 to Y6 need the following PE kit for September:
· White or light blue t-shirt
· Navy blue shorts
· Black trainers/pumps
· Navy/black tracksuit for outdoor PE
All uniform can be bought from the local supermarket, the pre-loved shop in main reception or if you wish to purchase logo items these can be purchased from Cliffs uniform shop in town or online via www.schoolwearsolutions.com
Over summer you will notice we are having some substantial works done to school including replacement of the slate roof. This will mean that in September all children in Year 5 and 6 will need to use the Year 3&4 entrance on the playground as the Year 5&6 entrance will still be cordoned off until the October half term.
Finally if you have any safeguarding emergencies over the summer break please contact DMBC direct on 01302 737777. The school email address (admin@woodfield.doncaster.sch.uk) and the school safeguarding mobile (07502 401956) will be monitored periodically but only urgent immediate action emails/calls will be responded to over the summer to allow all our staff to have a well-deserved break too.Thank you for all your support this year – see you in September !
Many thanks
